Beginner concert Band Method 

Exceeding The Standard written by Dr Peter Ratnik has been uniquely composed with learning to play as a band as the main intention rather than individual tutor books all playing in unison.

Exceeding the Standard unlike other band methods, starts with crotchets (quarter notes), and the most easily achieved note to start on for each instrument hence, the first full piece is in simple Harmony with rhythmic variation to facilitate counting, tone production and ensemble development.

Exceeding The Standard has revolutionised the modern band method by introducing QR codes for play-a-long Solo, Sectional & Band parts. This evolutionary approach makes home practise and member retention a reality.
